John Negrau is the Development and Marketing Manager for Arts Central and has been with the organization since October 2009.  In his short time with Arts Central, John has completely re-vamped the organization’s website, developed a solid social media presence, created a consistently well received  online newsletter, established tracking metrics for all efforts, re-created the organizations membership and sponsorship models (and put them online), coordinated the re-design of all organizational collateral, created and implemented an on-going “Friend Drive” (membership and donation campaign), created and chaired a new branded member appreciation event called the “Fleece + Flannel Ball”, and got the donor management system and database up-to-date (with a heavy emphasis on donor recognition).

John graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Minor in Finance.  Prior to Arts Central, he was the Operations and Development Manager for Working Wonders Children’s Museum (another local non-profit) for three years where he was responsible for overseeing $215,000 or 45% of the museums’ total operating budget.  John also set up all operational museum systems, while also creating extensive tracking models for all earned revenue.  When John was 19 (and still in college), he started a very successful temporary staffing agency in Chicago, IL with 6 subcontractors and 1 client and grew the business to provide jobs for over 600 subcontractors, 13 clients, earning over $330,000 in annual revenue.  This business is still operating today.
