The Artist in Schools (AIS) program is dedicated to bringing artist residencies to schools in Deschutes, Crook, Jefferson, Klamath and Lake Counties. Artist residencies are designed to place trained, knowledgeable, and practicing artists into school and community settings where they can share the benefits of the creative process. Any public or private school is invited to host a residency artist. Arts Central served 5411 students through its 2009-2010 residency program.

We have an AIS Artist Directory of 19 professional dancers, musicians, artists, actors and art educators who love to teach children and adults their art form. With a full menu of services and age appropriate lesson plans students can experience enrichment, art linked to specific learning objectives or a custom designed project to meet specific needs or learning objectives of a classroom or school.
