Discover your creativity and enhance the quality of your life!
Expand your child's innate joy in the creative process!
What is the Art Station?
The Art Station is the only non-profit visual arts school in Central Oregon where children can explore their creative sides and discover what they are capable of in painting, drawing, ceramics, and sculpture.
The Art Station also provides a variety of art classes for adults to rediscover their creative spark and fulfill their potential in the arts.
Instructors at the Art Station are professional artists and arts educators who continually strive for excellence in their teaching.
The Art Station is also the headquarters for the Artists in Schools Residency Program (AIS) and VanGo.
What the Art Station Offers:
Year-round classes, workshops, and art camps for pre-school (ages 2-5), after-school (ages 5-teen), homeschoolers and adults. Curriculum for children is developmentally designed for specific age groups. Summer art camps for elementary school age children are held throughout the entire summer, both in the morning and afternoon, usually focused around a theme.
Adult and teen clay classes are available days, evenings and weekends.
Printmaking classes for adults are offered through our partner facility, A6 (Atelier 6000), Register for A6 classes through the Art Station.
Find out more about our Arts for All Catalog which includes all class listings for the Art Station, Atelier 6000 Print Studio and Cascade Community School of Music.
The Art Station is housed in an important historical building – the 1911 Bend Train Depot. A unique cultural inheritance, the Art Station was moved and renovated by a medley of partners: Arts Central, the Old Mill District, and Oregon Dept. of Transportation. It now resides in the Old Mill District, across from the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Arts Central administers the Art Station. Arts Central is the non-profit regional arts and culture council of Central Oregon. In 1999, Arts Central was enlisted to create an arts school for our community’s children and adults. Because of a widespread lack of visual arts education in Central Oregon’s elementary schools, the need for a visual arts school was critical.
