Building Community through the Arts

Art Central's regional art services projects often fly under the radar, as they involve strategic planning, technical services, meetings, management and other relatively bland topics.  However, great results and partnerships frequently emerge from these activities and the region continues to grow in a positive direction culturally.

Art Central has a leadership and management role with such programs as:

• cultural planning through Bend 2030

• cultural and heritage tourism with Visit Bend

• public art with ArtMatch

• Oregon Cultural Trust's Deschutes Cultural Coalition

Arts Central collaborates with Cascade Publications on their new Central Oregon Arts & Culture Resource Directory website, scheduled to go live later in 2008.

Arts Central serves in an advisory capacity on public art for the cities of Sisters and Redmond and serves in a general advisory capacity for the region's diverse arts and culture organizations such as Caldera and Nature of Words.
