In 2006, Arts Central raised $75,000 from several sources to help purchase the Honda Element and pay for art instructors, art supplies, equipment and travel costs for its “pilot” year (2006-07). Additionally, major donors help to ensure that VanGo continues to provide arts instruction throughout the Central Oregon region. These donors include:
Local business support came from Sign Pro, Bob Thomas Car Co., VanGo Invitational Golf Tournament, and Cascade A&E. A local gas station, Expressway, donated $50 worth of gas for nine months. Many individual donors also contributed to the project, including Dawn Boone, who created the original artwork on VanGo. |
